CNE Food Adventure!
Hello everyone! I have so much footage of when I went to CNE, also known as Canadian National Exhibition. It lasted from August 18th- September 4th. My apologies, I have a lot of old pictures and wanted to share my reviews and opinions with you guys. Alright, so during my stay at the CNE, I went and got the Colossal Onion, also known as the Blooming Onion. So many people were lining up for it. It was $12.00 but it was definitely worth it. It came with a sauce called zesty sauce. It paired so perfectly together. The sauce had a lot of spice and it was very zesty. It had a combination of sour and salty. The colossal onion, however, was a bit oily for my liking. It dripped a lot of oil. It was crispy and it melts into your mouth after the first bite. I shared this with one of my friends and we both couldn't finish it. Overall, I would rate this a 7.5/10. If you're heading to CNE this summer of 2018, be sure to try it out!
While I was walking around, I saw that they were selling various types of foods like funnel cake and corn dogs. It wasn't as popular as I found it to be.
Another thing I found while walking around CNE was, in the Enercare Centre, they were selling pepperettes, mini sausages that tasted AMAZING. They gave out samples of various kinds, there was spicy, regular, and honey garlic. Personally, my favourite was honey garlic only because it has a mixture of sweet and salty. The honey brought out the sweetness and so much flavour was compacted into this one sausage. It was like an explosion in my mouth. I loved it. It was $5.00 for 6 sticks of pepperettes any flavour you want, you could mix it up, or $10.00 for 24 pieces in a bag, of only one flavour of your choice. I rate this 10/10. I brought it home and everyone in the family loved it.
